    Post [Event] Purgatory Abyss Walkthrough

    Greetings and Welcome to another one of my guides,

    Daehawk:
    I've looked through some of the players walkthrough that they have submitted for this event and a lot of it seems to be just general information. In this guide of mine please refrain from posting till I post up all the reserves. I have up to Room 20 information, but with so few players getting past R15 at the point of this guides original creation I will leave that information out for the further advanced rooms. Once there are more people regularly getting past Room 15 which on the realms connected to this forum section everyone is still at L4R14 and not beat L4R15. I will however leave information on a way to beat Room 15 in Layer 4, for those willing to try the form that I know to have worked before. But won't post spoilers to the further rooms.

    Daehawk:
    This guide will be a bit picture heavy showing the boss forms as well as a description of them. So give it a moment to load. There will be 90 Room Formation pictures and a section at the end that has pictures of the loot that can be acquired here. The item images I will be posting are for each of the Red Equipment pieces, Envy 3 piece, Wrath 8 Piece, and Pride 4 piece. In the future when Sloth gear is added I will post it's gear.

    *Note* While this is a guide of forms that I know have worked and worked for other people I have supplied them to. The formation to use is always helpful and what units to use. But your gear and heroes also play a large role in the encounters.

    General Information

    Purgatory Abyss
    General Information
    Original Release Date: March 14, 2012
    Availability: Players Level 60+
    Location: Alliance Castle -> Pathfinder NPC
    Rewards: Skill Tomes, Purple Gear, Purple Gems, Orange Gear, Orange Gems, Red Gear, Red Gems, Transmutation Materials.
    Purgatory Layers: Arrogance, Envy, Wrath, Sloth.
    Layer Information: Each Layer has 25 Rooms. Rooms 5, 10, 15, and 20 are Mini-bosses. Room 25 is the main boss for that layer. Upon beating Room 1 of the next layer when players reset they can start back at that layer.
    Limitation: Players can only reset Purgatory Abyss twice a day. Once for free and a second time for 5 gold or 5 Coupons. If you die in Purgatory Abyss it costs 5 gold or 5 Coupons to continue that set. Purgatory Abyss doesn't automatically reset with the day change.
    Additional Information: Players can save the purgatory for later by clicking "Quit" this will lock your current position so that you can come back later to try again. "Reset" button is the button you will press when you want to end the current attempt and start a new one.

    *Fire Elements : Some may wonder "Why fire elements?" Fire elements are high Attack High Accuracy flyers. For front line units in this fight, similar to L1R25, there is no Flyer enemy unit thus can be used safely. With fights that have a flyer enemy unit you will move first than it will and will typically kill your flyer(IE:L3R10). Fire Elements each will one shot the infantry that is around the boss and will also take a large chunk off of Poison dragon similar to that a tramp master would because of the added damage of Flyer vs Spell Caster and won't miss due to Fire Elements have Base Unit Accuracy of 480. Since it won't miss and will one shot the inf your tramps can be free to finish off the spellcaster in the back row that will only scratch the fire element in the middle lane. Then can focus on just the boss.

    *High Difficulty: Due to the high dodge of flyers this room is typically difficult for a lot of players. One best way that I've had people do it that were having to do it is to use a form that will by them the most time. This mention is typically stacking tanks with high accuracy front liners

    ¹Water Element: This Water Element is recommended as an agility hero with dodge skills. If it gets hit it's dead, so make sure it has High Agility and High Attack. If it doesn't dodge it will get 1 shot off which can still be plenty as long as it goes first.
    ²Tramp Master: This Tramp Master is recommended as an agility or a very high speed attack hero. The unit in front of it is an archer and you will need to either one shot it or hit it hard enough first where it's attack doesn't hurt you too much. The tramp behind this one can also be fast enough to kill the archer as well if you're missing the fire power to kill the archer with the first tramp but it can cost you the match depending on dodges/crits/double strikes.
    *Note: Typically you'll have 4 -5 rounds to kill the boss. Since he's on the left side with only one thing in the way it does make it slightly easier just depends on your power on which round your Column two tramps will start working on the boss.

    ¹Bandit: This Bandit is recommended as an Agility Dodge tank. You will want to get lucky on dodges in order to win with this formation. It has been used to win, but takes a few tries
    *Note: Some other things that would be helpful for players to know. A 2,600 Unit Tank with 8,400 Def and 6,500 Vitality can take 2 Hits from this boss before dying with Barks. The current method to acquire those stats is 2 piece Firedust, 2 piece Evil Spirit, 3 Piece Berial Set, and then you have 1 piece left over. I'd suggest Temir's Heart or Ice Tyrant Cloth if you don't have Fire Dust Chest.

    *Note: Yes this is hard, your tanks need Full berial, 2 Piece Fire Dust, 2 Piece Evil Spirit and Red Gems if you are doing it at Level 110 without upgraded techs. Level 120 it will be easier but still risky if not properly set up for your heroes. The difference between the two forms depends on how hard you can hit. If you can't one shot the units with your tramps you will need to use a tank to block on the left side this will also give you an extra tank for the rounds after your two middles die. The Far right Tramps are fine till your two middle tanks die. If they die before you kill the right side enemies they will then shoot that direction in the next round.
